We are a family run business originating in the beautiful department of the Vaucluse
in the renowned region of Provence.

Distinctively French was started in 2007, inspired by living in the world famous antiques market town of Isle sur la Sorgue in France. Being surrounded by small, elegant and exclusive boutiques gave us the idea of bringing unusual and beautiful French style items to the UK.

So how is Distinctively French different?

Firstly we focus on being a place where you can find something different. Gifts and distinctive plaques that are all selected for their style and quality and their 'frenchness'. You should be inquisitive about many of our products as often they
are very different from those found elsewhere. It is for these reasons that we work
with a handful of small suppliers.

So how was Distinctively French born?

It was in fact after arriving in France that we started chatting about what we loved about the country. After so many years of the 'big store' chain culture of the UK, we found it inspiring to be surrounded by so many beautiful and unique creations,
often produced or designed by independent businesses and rarely found outside
of France. It was this inspiration that led to the creation of Distinctively French.

The company has evolved and we now offer an ever expanding range of home furnishings. We are constantly adding high quality products to our selection and it
is our aim to offer a broad spectrum of high quality home accessories.
